Saga of Hackathons

In my last semester of college, I resolved to participate in at least 1 hackathon every weekend to put my UI/UX skills to the test -- needless to say, it was a trial by fire everytime. But in the frenzy of assemblying full-stack teams, ideating innovative solutions, and rapidly prototyping functional products within 48 hours, I gained a wealth of experience with designing with full-fledged products in mind.

These sprints showed me UI/UX design isn’t *just* making what seems pretty, but also creating component libraries for front-end developers, conducting rapid competitor and market analysis, collaborating on Github to refine front-end elements, and always leaving room for future growth.
